Members are informed that the Lok Sabha Secretariat has brought out two publications titled ‘Babu Jagjivan Ram in Parliament: A Commemorative Volume’ and ‘Anti-defection Law in India and the Commonwealth’, priced at Rs 1000/- per copy and Rs 2400/- per copy, respectively.
Members who are interested may purchase copies of the publications at 50 per cent discount from the Sales Counter, Reception Office, Parliament House.

Meeting of the Hon’ble Speaker with Leaders of Parties in Lok Sabha in Speaker’s Committee Room at 10.30. A.M. daily before the commencement of the sitting of the House
As decided at the meeting of the Hon’ble Speaker with Leaders of Parties in Lok Sabha on 27 April, 2005, Hon’ble Speaker will be meeting Leaders of Parties in Lok Sabha at 10.30 A.M. daily, before the commencement of the sitting of the House, in Speaker’s Committee Room, Parliament House during the current Session of the Lok Sabha.
2. Hon’ble Leaders of Parties in Lok Sabha are, accordingly, requested to attend the meeting.

The Payment of Wages (Amendment) Bill, 2005 (As passed by Rajya Sabha)

The President, having been informed of the subject matter of the proposed Payment of Wages (Amendment) Bill, 2005, as passed by Rajya Sabha, recommends to the House the consideration of the Bill under article 117(3) of the Constitution.

Kind attention of the members is invited to the provisions of rules 349 (vii) and 351 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha, which, inter alia provide that whilst the House is sitting, a member shall keep to his usual seat and shall speak from his place while addressing the House.
2. The matter relating to the observance of these rules by members while speaking in the House was discussed in the Business Advisory Committee meeting held on 9.3.2005, wherein, Hon’ble Speaker directed that members, except the Ministers, shall speak from their own seats unless permitted by the Chair to speak from another seat.

Hindi Software for Computer Application
The Deptt. Of Information Technology, G.O.I., have developed a software for those wishing to work in Hindi language on their computer. It contains 510 fonts besides other applications. CDs containing the software are being offered to the Hon’ble Members on complimentary basis.
Members desirous of having the software for their use can collect a CD from the Publication Counter, Parliament House.
